![]() ![]() Only one thing to note, my wife is not exactly dumb, but she's really not interested in technology, and if there is anything that she has to learn to do, there's no way she's going to do it. I know using samba is probably easier, but I thought it might be a good idea to learn how to use ssh in the process, apart from the cheap thrills it gives me to "show off" in front of my wife working on the command line and connecting to her system. I was wondering if anyone could give me a work around as long as my objective of sharing files is accomplished. ![]() I'm not able to copy files that have a space in the file name, even within my system using the cp command. my other problem is that we name files any which way depending on what work we are currently doing, and very often they will contain sentences like "landing page for xxx" as the file name. the usual cp command does not seem to work and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it is not possible to do so. My problem is two fold, one is in copying files from my system to hers, and vice versa. I recently installed the openssh-server in my wife's computer so that I can connect and have managed to do so without any trouble. since both of us work from home, we need to share files and until now we used to do this by sending it via email (duh, I know) to each other. ![]() I have two systems at home, one for me and one for my wife which are completely independent of each other, and connect to a wireless router. ![]()
